Perhaps we do not know much information about Cristofori at the moment because he was an employee (albeit very much respected),and he was born in 4 May 1655 in Italy.

Cristofori worked as an employee for Ferdinando de Medici, an Italian prince from the descendants of a famous Italian family and who held the position of Grand Duke of Tuxana.  In the king's court, not just in music.

As a Medici employee, Chrysophore was just a cog in the great royal machine, although he was chosen by the Medici himself, and given space to work with 100 other artists (he always complained about the clamor they made), Ferdinando de Medici encouraged his employee Cristofori to creativity,  But that was not his only job, as he was also in charge of controlling and transporting instruments in addition to repairing old machines, and unlike other musicians, Cristofori worked in the royal squares and could have become famous more than that, but he was local and did not rise to fame, people did not see him at that time  As a genius despite being talented at what he does.

At the same time, although his work for the Medici was a reason for his lack of reputation, we must also say that if Cristofori had not worked for the Medici he would not have invented the piano, the royal family gave him a house to work in, a space to conduct his experiments, and then later a private workshop was provided.  Him with two assistants.

When Prince Medici began to lose his fortune, Cristofori began to sell some of his pianos, but he did not have what stated that he was the owner of this invention (there was no such thing as a patent right now) Some people modified the instrument and sold it, and it remained in court  King until his death in 1731.
